Passing Time / Grass
Time evidence experiment
Exhibited at London Design Festival
This project required the creation of a piece of work or an object that records the passage of time. The outcome should be unconventional but still involve the exploration of several ideas and a variety of research methods. Part of my research was to identify moments or situations that can easily reflect a period or a life cycle which people are not aware of.
The intention of this piece is to personalise the evidence of time by altering it or accelerating the natural process of grass growth. After a few attempts with several types of plants
I wanted to reveal messages across several grass mediums. I explored the usage of cut out letterforms, weed
killer effects and miracle grow reaction in order to achieve results within a specific duration of time.
