Time evidence experiment
Peeling back paper and finding layer upon layer of forgotten colours, patterns and textures is like glimpsing back through time. Similarly, the adverts we see around us act like aesthetic representations of time.
The ragged vibrant patterns imposed unnaturally against the smooth, dark, cold tunnel walls become a beautiful, yet inaccurate, measurement of time.
This piece explores this casual layering and their subsequent removal and it documents the notion of passing time through the study of adverts pasted throughout the London Underground network.
